Two of the most iconic bands to emerge out of the 80s in Britain - The Wonder Stuff and the Levellers - continue their 30th- anniversary celebrations with a stop-over in New Zealand.

Both bands can claim legendary status in their own right, but together on the same bill, they’re a force to be reckoned with.

Alt-rockers The Wonder Stuff formed in the mid- 1980s straight out of the Black Country, with a string of hits including ‘Unbearable’, ‘Give Give Give, Me More More More’ and ‘A Wish Away’. They went on to release their debut full-length album THE EIGHT LEGGED GROOVE MACHINE, which included the hit ‘It’s Yer Money I’m After Baby’.

In 2016, The Wonder Stuff marked their three-decade-long journey by returning to their roots in the Black Country to record 30 GOES AROUND THE SUN. It was received with widespread acclaim.

The tour would not be complete without the Levellers - one of the most notable indie bands to emerge out of the mid 80s Brit pop boom.

Hailing from Brighton, and discovered by Derek Green (the man responsible for signing the Sex Pistols) they released several EPs before their 1990 full-length debut A WEAPON CALLED THE WORD.

Levellers’ songs like ‘Carry Me’ and ‘I Have No Answers’ and ‘One Way’ from their iconic record LEVELLING THE LAND remain firm favorites.?

Having toured together in 2011, both bands were thrilled to reunite to celebrate their 30-year milestone and can’t wait to play to Australasian crowds.

“It’s always a well-received phone call to tell us we’re off to tour again. And this time with the added bonus of gigs in New Zealand too! Wait, there’s more... and this momentous expedition to the Antipodes will all be spent in the company of our good friends the Levellers. What’s not to like, I’m chuffed to bits”, says front-man for The Wonder Stuff, Miles Hunt.

And the Levellers agree: “We are greatly looking forward to returning to Australia and New Zealand in September. Our friends The Wonder Stuff will be with us too so you can be assured of a night of great songs plus the usual attending live chaos!”
